" OWNER WANT'S IT SOLD---LOWER PRICE---NO FFL NEEDED " Caliber 45-75 This very rare Winchester 1876 rifle has a half octagon, half round 28" barrel with full magazine and is in excellent condition. A fact sheet from the Cody Museum of firearms has confirmed this exact configuration, Winchester serial #25637. ( Fact sheet to accompany rifle) The wood to metal fit is tight and level with nice tight grain. The metal is in very good condition, no rust or flaking of any kind. Corners are sharp and free of dings or heavy scratches. All wood surfaces are in very good condition, finish appears original. No cracks, checks or excess dents of any kind. Bluing remains generous throughout with even toning across the rifle . The bore is bright with very visible rifling no pitting issues. The action is excellent , as are sights and all screws assigned to this rare rifle. The barrel transition from octagon to round meets Winchester specifications as does the magazine. Butt plate and cleaning rod brass gate are fine and without issue. Only 91 half octagon / half round barreled, full length rifles were produced by Winchester.Date shipped from Winchester warehouse Aug 18,1882. California will need rifle shipped to FFL dealer for pickwp Contact Frank,
