1876 North West Mounted Police Carbine, mfg 1885. Madis letter, and Cody letter. This all original, Mountie gun is in excellent condition. 45-75. Pleasing plum finish on barrel and mag, with clear sharp address. Bore is a 7, sharp rifleing with some minor pitting. Action is crisp and smooth. Receiver is plum thinning, with saddle ring. Small scratch on top of receiver and dust cover, does not detract. Excellent wood to metal fit with no shrinkage. Cartouche faint, but visible. Some small handling dings, No forearm band scratches. Correct original elevated site. Estimated at less than 2000 made, they are very rare. A very nice example of a Mountie gun, in suprisingly good condition. A must for any Winchester collection
