Many of our die-hard hill country raccoon, possum, and gray squirrel hunters use this round exclusively. This is CCI’s .22 Short Cartridge. It will work in any revolver designed for .22 Long Rifle Ammunition. If your rifle or semi automatic pistol reads, .22 Short anywhere on its frame or barrel, it will digest this ammunition. It will not work in a firearm marked, .22 Long Rifle without the word Short somewhere on it. It will NOT work in a Ruger semi auto pistol, or a Smith & Wesson semi auto, or any semi auto pistol chambered for .22 Long Rifle caliber. Manufacturer and warrantor is CCI Ammunition of Lewiston, Idaho. Construction is brass case, copper coated lead hollow point bullets, and flake smokeless powder. These little rounds propel the 27 grain bullet out the muzzle of a 24 inch 550-1 Remington at over 1100 feet per second, and they deliver a solid-thumping 73 foot pounds of muzzle energy, enough to dispatch a properly targeted hard-shell possum. They will cycle in pocket size semi automatics specifically chambered for .22 Short caliber only, like the Colt Junior, Astra Cub, and Beretta Minx. They are Not intended for use in older revolvers that originally used black powder cartridges. These cartridges are boxed in 100 round plastic boxes with sliding lids for easy storage and access. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
