This is a high standard model GB in 22lr with a 4.5 inch barrel serial number dated 1949. This is a very nice piece with 2 very very small marks on the right side of the barrel and a couple of light rub marks on the top of the slide. Nothing of which can not be taken care of by a decent gunsmith or by a competant person with a buffing wheel and a bluing touch up kit to totally restore this piece for use or a wall hanger or to hold on to. This is a semi low production gun with approx 4900 made between 1949-1950 and this gun is c&r eligable as well so do not miss out on the oppertunity to own this beautiful piece of history in this condition which is approximately 90-95% according to the NRA grading guidelines. I have personally owned this gun for about 15 years(i would have to check my paperwork) and honestly i have only shot 1 clip out of this gun. I have cleaned and oiled this gun as it sits and everything functions as it should. The grips are original to the gun and in near perfect condition with all of the checkering still high and sharp with no cracks or chips anywhere. There are a few marks on the backside of the grip that goes in the palm of your hand but like i said before everything that this gun needs to be perfect can be taken care of. I will go over this gun prior to sale or trade and clean,oil and inspect it as best i can and try to remove a few of the marks that are on it. I accquired this gun from an older gentleman many years ago with a handwritten bill of sale and reciept from when he bought this gun new. I am sorry to say that neither he nor i have the paperwork or box for this gun but they can be had every once in a while when they turn up for sale on several sites. Originally i purchased this gun because the seller really needed the money at that time and i was just trying to help him out the best i could, i personally collect shotguns, specifically remington doubles preferrably 10 gauge so i am very open to trades for remington doubles. I am willing to consider trades for even even swap or swap plus cash for this gun. I will consider complete guns as well as parts guns and parts but please do not think that i will trade even up for a rusted up non working piece of junk that cannot be safely used as a wall hanger so please use some discretion. I am also willing to trade for various sig sauer pistols as well, 220,225,226,228,229,232,238,239,290. I have tried to describe this gun to the best of my abilities and have been honest and forthcoming with everything and have nothing to hide. I am a firearms collector and not a dealer so i am not out to just make a quick buck i care about the hobby and would like to get more people into it. If you have any questions or would like to have more pictures please feel free to let me know and i will do my best to get you the information that you need. I would much rather trade gun for gun on this deal because i really am not hurting for the money and even if i did do a cash deal i would just spend it on another shotgun anyway so please just let me know what you have to trade and we can go from there. As for trades for this piece, i would prefer old remington doubles but i am open to any old double barrels especially 10 gauge doubles, i have gotten many emails on this already, i would prefer a trade but anything is possible.
