KM Flare Gun made by Walther, Model SLD This is a real beauty. This is a Walther Model SLD (Signal und Leucht Doppel) double-barrel flare gun. The Pistol is made of 100% ROSTFREI INOX Steel. Only about 4000 SLD are made. Limited produced. signal pistol of 27 mm calibre, part of the ancillary equipment of German AFVs. The official German designation is 27 mm Leuchtpistolezwilling. The word 'Zwilling' denoting double barrelled. By setting a lever on the rear top of the pistol it is possible to fire the barrels independently or both together. This also carries the spring loaded indicator, to denote when the pistol is loaded. On the left side in the letters AC on top of 44, serial number 4018, also shows a nazi emblem with M III/3,the pistol is in excellent working condition and the wood has minor dents as would be expected of something this old.
