THIS IS A NICE EXAMPLE OF A U.S. PATTERN 1795 FLINTLOCK MUSKET. THE STOCK IS COMPLETE WITH NO MISSING WOOD. THE BARREL IS 44 9/16" LONG WITH A FINE .69 CALIBER BORE. THE EXTERIOR SURFACE OF THE BARREL IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND IS STILL IN THE WHITE IN HIDDEN AREAS. CONSIGNER HAD THE BARREL XRAYED IN THE BREECH AREA. IT WAS FOUND TO BE IN IT'S ORIGINAL FLINT CONFIGURATION, WITH NO EVIDENCE OF RECONVERSION FROM THE PERCUSSION MODE. THE XRAY REPORT IS INCLUDED. THE ONLY MARKINGS ON THE BARREL IS THE LETTER P, WHICH IS STAMPED AT THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BREECH. THE LOCK IS ALL ORIGINAL AND IS A PERFECT FIT TO THE WOOD, BOTH INSIDE AND OUT. THE FLASH PAN AND TOUCH HOLE SHOW USE WITH FINE LIGHT PITTING. THE LOCK PLATE EXHIBITS EARLY SPRINGFIELD FEATURES, SUCH AS THE ELONGATED TAIL, PARTIAL CHICKEN EAGLE STAMP AND VERTICAL SPRINGFIELD STAMP. THE INSIDE OF THE LOCK IS STAMPED TxC.. OVERALL, THIS IS A FINE EXAMPLE OF A MODEL 1795 MUSKET. IT IS IN WONDERFUL OUTSTANDING CONDITION... AS THIS IS A LATE 18TH CENTURY FLINTLOCK FIREARM, IT CAN BE EXPORTED TO MOST COUNTRIES...HOWEVER, IF YOU ARE AN INTERNATIONAL BUYER, PLEASE DO CHECK WITH YOUR IMPORT AUTHORITIES BEFORE PURCHASE. SOME GUIDELINES: All cartridge firing firearms must be transferred through a licensed FFL dealer in your state. Buyer to supply a signed copy of local dealer’s license before shipment will be made. A C&R License is acceptable for C&R firearms, (guns determined to be C&R’s by ATF and/or guns known to be at least 50 years old). Antique firearms and replicas require buyer to supply proof of age. Some areas require an FFL transfer for antique & black powder firearms (New Jersey, NYC, etc.) PAYMENT OPTIONS: Postal Money Orders and Cashier's Checks only are acceptable. SHIPPING: Buyer pays shipping costs. All items are shipped via priority mail insured. Costs vary depending on weight, postal zone and insurance value.
