This is a nice Belt Pistol made in France in the town/garision of Tulle. Has a clean patina and does not look restored. Side plate has been polished and is marked Mre Rle de Tulle, top of barrel marked Mle 1837, misc markings under stock, and Navy Anchor stamped in the brass butt. The nipple has been replaced and has some cracks in the wood. Have more pictures. Length is about 11 3/4" and barrel is 6 1/4" to center of nipple. Trigger meckanism cocks very sharp. Ram rod is in good condition. All the screws seem to be correct vintage and all but one has numbers stamped on them. I'm not very exsperanced in this type of pistol but it appears to be a vey nice for its age.
