this is an M1 carbine made during ww2.The barrel date 943. It is made by Underwood. it has an excellent bore with no import stamp. this not one of those recent Korean imports. the bolt is a type 3,which is heavier. the stock has the stamp "BA" and "CAB" is in a box and the stock has never been sanded. these were mostly issued to drivers and non-commissioned officers, and were very effective in the jungles of asian all the way up to Vietnam. this is .30 caliber carbine.
