This is a fine condition, all factory, Savage Model 1899 made in 1928 (serial #305xxx). It is a scarce take down version in .303 Savage caliber. It is mechanically perfect, with a fine bore. It features an original Lyman tang peep sight in near mint condition. The wood shows only a few minor dings with 99% of the original finish. The barrel retains 95% of its original blue, and the receiver shows probably 85%. The lever shows strong case colors with a bit of original protective varnish. We will consider trade for U.S. gold and silver coins at spot value. We also take VISA or MasterCard for an additional 4% fee.
