PS Justice First Type 69 caliber Rifled Musket Philadelphia Pennsylvania
This is an excellent example of a Rare Civil War 69 caliber 3 band Rifled Musket that was manufactured by P. S. Justice of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Justice, c.1861 time area, had a total production made only 2,174 muskets consisting of 3 types. This one is the first type which is rarely seen that used 1842 barrel bands, iron mounting and made without a patchbox. The Lock as well as the top of the barrel is marked PS JUSTICE/PHILA as seen in photos. Three bands on a Round 39 inch barrel. The wood has a very old refinish and has some fine shallow crack lines that follow the grain lines near the left side of the lock and two lines on the underneath of the stock. Also a repair to the heel of the stock as seen in the photos. The bore is excellent while the mechanics are fully functional. The condition is as I found it in an estate which included a replacement nipple and I have not done anything to change it. The cost of shipping and insurance is $45.00.

Payment options: Payment made using USPS Money Orders will ship as soon as payment and required paperwork arrives. Due to recent increased use of Counterfeit Cashier’s Checks, these payments will be held for bank clearance prior to shipping. Personal and business checks are also gladly accepted, however may delay shipping 2 weeks for bank clearance (We know the good checks clear faster, however, bank are sometimes slow in notification of a returned check).
