For Sale: Sprague & Marston .31 Cal. six shot "pepperbox" Patented 1849 New York. This is a very good Example of the type of weapon of it's day. It is double action, and is very tight especially for it's age.The nipples seem to be original and appear to be in good condition. The barrel is tight and advances properly.The patena is very good with the exception of the slot in the side plate screw. (Ihad the gun on consignment at a gun store a few years ago and for some reason, an employee had to see what made it work). The grips are Original,with all of the finish except for some very minor dents in the wood.there are no accessories or box, just the Pistol. I have had the pistol for about 16 years. it's time to let someone else enjoy it. consider trade for an AK 7.62X .39 Or AR15.223 or .308
