Ketland marked lock, with a hammer that works good. This short rifle was used mostly by mounted troops like the dragoons, as they arrived at a battle first, and long rifles fired from a horse, doesn't work very well. Barrel is 33 1/2" long with British proofs, and the bore is about .65 cal.Has a wooden ramrod, and the English walnut stock is very good with possible repairs which are common up near the top edge of the barrel channel.
