Description: Peabody saddle ring carbine. Flayderman 9B-081. 20" round barrel. Measures about .50 caliber, exact chambering unknown, possibly either French or South Carolina contract. Metal parts have an untouched dark patina overall with a slightly granular appearance. Stock has a good inspector cartouche and shows average wear and use overall with scattered light to moderate handling marks, free of cracks and chips. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
