The breech is marked US JCB and a P in a circle. Also has a 1841 date stamped on the tang. The Lockplate is marked N Starr & son in a circle ahead of the hammer and Midd Conn 1841 to the rear of the hammer. Metal overall has an aged grey finish with some fine pitting in areas.
