Receiver finish has aged to a fine patina. Furniture in beautiful condition. The 24" barrel bore has strong lands and grooves and is very bright. The action is very, very tight with a crisp, clean trigger pull and a solid lock-up. There are four attempted tap holes I assume for mounting a scope, they are shallow however they do obscure the lettering.
