This listing is for the exact shotgun in the photos. Here is an excellent specimen of the model 535 Waterfowler 12 gauge pump chambered for 3 1/2 inch magnum shells. Manufacturer, of course, is O.F. Mossberg & Sons of New Haven, CT. Type is pump or slide action shotgun with double steel slide bars. Construction is steel barrel, magazine tube, bolt, trigger and internal parts all built into an alloy receiver, with polymer top tang safety and trigger group housing. Forend and Buttstock are graphite based synthetic. Finish is matte blue and black synthetic. Chambering is 12 gauge, for 2 3/4 inch or 3 inch or 3 1/2 inch shells interchangeably. Barrel is 28 inch with 12 post .375 serrated top Ventilated Rib 1/4 inch high at the lug, with high visibility red fiber optic front sight. This shotgun comes with One .700 vicinity Modified Choke Tube. The 535’s barrel is not back bored like the 835, so it will handle rifled slugs well with an improved cylinder choke. Accu-choke threads on the 535s are the same as old style Winchester Win-Choke and old style Browning Invector. Magazine capacity is 5 rounds of 2 3/4 inch shells, or 4 rounds of 3 inch shells, or 3 rounds of 3 1/2 inch with the wood adapter or plug removed from the magazine tube. Weight empty is 7 1/2 pounds, with center of gravity about 1 inch forward of the receiver. Buttstock measures 13 7/8 inches from the .300 smooth trigger face to the end of the 7/8 inch black rubber factory recoil pad. Stock drop is 1 1/2 inches at the comb, and 2 1/2 inches at the butt, with a right hand cant of about 3/4 inch. This specimen is what we call a factory demo. It served as showgirl for Mossberg’s sales force, on the road with their reps and writers; and at gun industry trade shows like the annual SHOT show in Las Vegas. Surface detractions are minimal, really no more streaking and faint edge whitening than what one sees on many new display guns in stores. We rate it as Excellent, 90 to 95 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Shoppers can possibly spot the letter U stamped on the left side of the receiver above the serial number. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. This model 535 comes in a relabeled Mossberg Factory Box with factory lock, instruction manual, NSSF and NRA flyers. If this shotgun was test fired, it was fewer than 20 times.
