High Standard D-100 Derringer, .22 LR caliber with ORIGINAL Lawrence Leather Company (Portland, OR) Holster WITH unique Custom features. This firearm was purchased new 40+ yeaqrs ago through my shop by a recently deceased family member. I am the estate executor. I have personally known this pistol for 40+ years, fired it a couple of times. The D-100 H-S Derringer is in excellent condition showing minimal wear on the sharp edges. It has been stored for the majority of it's life with possibly one box of .22 LR rounds fired total. It has never been carried with regularity and has never been "dropped". No rust, dings, and one very minor fleck on the ejector bar. Mirror bores, trigger casehardening is still vivid. Grips perfect w/NO scratches. Grip frame shows expected fading of anodizing due to age. Never disassembled. Sorry; couldn't find red "jewel box" case, but if it turns up, will forward to purchaser - still clearing out deceased owner's home. Lawrence Leather Company, now out of business 30+ years; was one of the premier holster makers of the frontier period with production into modern times. They were noted for impeccable craftsmanship and glove-like fit out of the box. This Derringer Holster is ORIGINAL to this pistol; I ordered it for the original owner after I lent him the catalouge! (Wish I still had the catalouge!) It is black with basket-weave stamping. NO scrapes, abrasions, and very minor edge fade as expected from 45+ years. When it arrived, he felt the retention was not sufficent and asked could a strap could be added. I wrote Lawrence, they answered stating they had never added a strap to this model but send it back with a couple of bucks and they
agreed to attempt. It works beautifully. In 40+ years of gun repair and trading, this is the only Lawrence Derringer Holster I have ever actually seen other than as a catalouge illustration. The added strap (WITH pristine "Lawrence" marked nickel snap!) makes it a true-one-of-a-kind offering. This is offered as a "set" ONLY; will not seperate. Will answer any questions and will cheerfully firnish more photos. Please, examine photos and ask any pertenant questions and consider the uniqueness ofthis offering, because... - Sorry no returns.
