Custom Remington 700 Benchrest single shot rifle in .257 / .240 Wby w/dies and brass, 27 inch heavy SS bbl WITH screw-on Muzzle Brake (28.5” overall) measuring .915 inches at muzzle (we do not know maker or Twist – from a estate and we will state all we know - we can say rifle is of the highest quality!), action is bedded and bbl is free floating in Tracker Custom BR fiberglass Marina Blue to Gray stock, 13 1/4 LOP, adjustable trigger currently set at about ½ oz, rifle weights about 16 pounds, bolt stop removed. Includes Burris two piece scope bases installed, Redding Deluxe Custom 3-piece die set – like new and about 19 loaded Weatherby brass shells and 11 formed and primed brass. Condition is excellent and we rate at 92-95%, bore is perfect with no erosion and rifle shows light usage, and a few paint chips on bottom of forearm – see photos. +S&H of $40.00 to your local FFL for transfer.

Just cruising around on Guns America and ran across this gun. .257/.240 Weatherby
Just a little history on the gun. Was originally built as a .243 Catbird by SY&G rifles (renamed to Speedco a few years ago), down in Texas. This gun was originally built around 1999 or so. The reason I know this? That stock! The barrelled action was shipped to me and this was the first stock I ever inletted and bedding for a bench gun. Looks just like it did when it left my shop except for the a few scratches and it evidently has been rebarreled at some point.
Just had to email. Thought I would never see that stock again. Not sure what it looks like now or how it shoots with the new barrel, but it was a tack driver when I worked on it.
