It is in its original box, with some label and box wear, with original test target, factory cable lock, instruction manual, and never executed factory registration card. Its bolt handle still has its original factory protective rubber coating. From its serial number range, we estimate it was manufactured in 2007 or 2008. Manufacturer is Howa Machinery Company Ltd of Kiyosu, Japan. Importer is Weatherby Inc. of Paso Robles, CA, and receiver is so marked. Type is bolt action rifle, with internal magazine and steel pivoting floor plate. Barrel is 24 inch with 6 groove 1:10 right hand twist rifling. Chambering is .300 Weatherby Magnum caliber, capacity 3 + 1 rounds. Metal finish is matte blue, with white steel serrated bolt body. Stock is factory Howa, tan colorized, black fiber filled, graphite based synthetic. Stock is the same type as Weatherby’s MOA Vanguards, but this is not an MOA variant, attest the smooth floorplate. Length of pull measures 13 1/4 inches from the serrated face steel trigger to the end of the 1 inch factory recoil pad. Weight empty is 7 1/2 pounds. This Weatherby comes in its original box with its plastic wrapper and test target. Surface detractions are negligible, we do not see any. We rate it as Near Mint Unfired Old Stock, 98 to 99 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves.
