Very nice and handy 12 ga english sidelock game gun by William Rogers, with 27 " barrels, extractors, and a straight grip stock with sharp checkering and nicely figured wood. The horn butt plate if fully checkered as well. The forearm has about 90% checkering coverage, and all the checkering is sharp and clean. The bores are shiney, and the ribs are both very good. There is a small dimple in the right tube, near the muzzle. The bottom rib has a sling swivel. The stock has a slight cast for a right handed shooter, its length of pull from the front trigger to mid-butt is 13.7". The buttstock has un-engraved silver oval. The drop is 1.5" at the comb and 2.5" at the heel. The gun is tight on face and has gold inlaid on the tang for "safe". This is a very nice gun with a lot of quality built into it. It has not been molested or buggered with, and is in original condition. It will make a perfect fit for someone with a smaller stature and it only weighs 6.2 lbs!! Just learned that its a William Rogers action; Rogers was a gunsmith affiliated with the Army and Navy Cooperative Society in London. We offer a three day non firing inspection period.
