The Gun is NIB and unfired. This is a VERY RARE gun. These guns were advertised in the 1989 Ithaca catalog as the Model 20. The pistol featured a unique firing pin system that detonates both rim fire and centerfire cartridges. From information gathered according to S.P. Fjestad, author of the "Blue Book of Gun Values" less than 300 were made during their 2+ year production before production was ceased owing to unsolvable production problems. The gun is marked Ithaca and features a 10 inch barrel with contoured Gondola Alves grips and forearm. This gun should not be confused with the Sterling X-Caliber pistol of Lockport, NY. Ithaca manufactured the barrels for Sterling and are so marked. Among the rarest of the rare single shot pistols ever manufactured, the Ithaca Model 20 X-Caliber is seldom encountered.
