Winchester Model 21- 12ga. FACTORY TWO BARREL SET- CASED
This 1950 vintage Standard Grade was custom ordered as a 2 barrel set, as documented by the factory records and the Cody Firearms Museum. There is a factory order sheet documenting the details of the gun. This gun is in near new condition after a Griffin and Howe restoration. It was ordered with one set of barrels in 26” and choked SK-1 and SK-2, and a 30” set choked M/F. The gun matches the order sheet in all details.
Both sets of barrels are in excellent condition, mirror bores, 99% blue, double beads, 2 ¾” chambers. They both have tight ribs and the barrels both ring. There is a single SKEET style beavertail forearm shared between both sets. Neither set of barrels has had any modification of the chokes. Minimum barrel wall thickness on either set is 29 thousandths.
The receiver retains 99% finish, excellent screws, Single Selective trigger, action tight on face and hinge, lever right of center. Trigger guard retains 99% niter blue. Ejectors are strong and timed, auto safety.
The wood is stunning and fully figured, with 14 3/8” length of pull to Winchester leather pad, 2 5/8” drop at heel, 1 5/8” drop at comb, no cracks or repairs, checkering clear and crisp, finish at 98%.
The gun weighs just 7lbs. 4oz. with the 26” barrels. A wonderful set for all of your upland and sporting clays needs. The gun was shipped originally to Abercrombie and Fitch. Cased in a period leather, toe-under case.
