Marlin Model 1881 Deluxe Rifle 45-70 cal Bore VG plus strong rifling with fine pitting good shootable bore, Mech Exc, Wood VG plus with checkering and pistol grip. Has a original 24” Oct barrel with full mag, original buckhorn rear sight and lyman insert front sight. Also has excellent marlin barrel markings. 45 Govt cal marking. Serial#19800 matching. Mfg 1888. The receiver has the original dust cover and loading gate. Metal overall has a dark aged grey patina finish with some very fine pitting in areas. Marlin made 2,788 Rifles with 24” barrels in 45-70 and 40-60 calibers. RARE
