Up for sale is a Swedish Mauser Model 96 that has been "sporterized". The gun is in great condition with matching numbers and the serial number is 609226. The mods to this gun are as follows. 1) The barrel has had a few inches trimmed off the front. 2) The bolt has been shaved to accommodate the scope. 3) Scope mounts mounted to the gun. I used this for the last few years that I hunted and I know the gun shoots good. It has been a year or so since it has been shot but it was cleaned every time it was shot.
