Here is a very nice copy of the Colt 1911 Officer Size pistols, a Llama Minimax 9 manufactured by the expert Spanish Manufacturers in Vitoria Spain at the old Llama Gabilondo plant. It is all steel, black matte finish, with many custom features, including long beavertail grip safety, skeleton Commander Hammer, square combat trigger guard, extended slide release and magazine release; and three dot combat sights. Note the Detonics type barrel and double recoil spring with steel guide rod. This pistol is in excellent condition with light streaking on the left side of the frame beside the magazine release, above the slide release on the edge of the slide there, and above the front of the trigger guard. Some of these may be original to the pistol anyway, since Llamas are not as slick as Colts. This Minimax 9 is Excellent Mechanically: the bore and chamber are bright, clean, and excellent; and the magazine shows only minor insertion and ejection wear. Specs on this Minimax are: weight empty 36.5 oz; barrel length 3 3/8 inches; magazine capacity 8 + 1; single action only. These only saw a brief marketing life of the decade ending in 2005.
