Barrel shortened to 34-1/2", stock shortened to just in front of middle band. Metal parts are a light to medium gray overall with some pitting present. Stock shows average wear and use overall with a large piece missing below the lock and a bad wrist break that was repaired with heavy brass pieces from a scale face. Stock is stamped "OHIO" behind the barrel tang, indicating ownership by that state during the Civil War period. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
