Charles Daly Mauser 98 458 Winchester Magnum, 24 inch barrel, high gloss blue finish. The rifle is in excellent condition & the scope is practically brand new as it has only been on the rifle to sight in my elk load. Asking $750 for the rifle only.
If you would like to include the Leupold VX III 1.5 -5 scope, Warne quick detach rings & bases I will include them for a total price of $950 (rifle with scope mounted)
Potentially included in this deal are a set of Hornady dies and approximately 200 pieces of Brass, about ¾ are Winchester, the rest Speer. About half of the brass is new, the other half once fired, some of it is in the form of loaded ammo (both hunting & practice loads). As I am the original owner of this rifle, I have put the only rounds through it, totaling less than 100 rounds. Price for the whole package: $1050.
If you hand load I would be happy to share my elk load recipe with you. I have a reduced practice load as well that dramatically lowers the recoil for practice session fun. Both are surprisingly accurate for such a large round.
I would be interested in discussing a trade for a 375 Ruger Alaskan or one of the newer Ruger RCMs if you happen to have one lying around.
