This is a S&W Performance Center Model 629 Stealth Hunter in caliber .44 Remington Magnum that I purchased new on February 16, 2010. It has a uniquely shaped 7.5 inch barrel which looks like an upside down pyramide. It has an integral rib with mounting slots for mounting optics and slender ports on both sides of the barrel located just below the front sight. The hammer and trigger are forged and the trigger is smooth and slightly rounded with an overtravel stop. The cycliner locks at the front as did the original N-frame Triple-Lock revolvers. It weighs 56 ozs. and has a bright red ramp from sight and adjustable rear sights. It is 100% factory stock. I have shot approximately 400 rds. of lite loads consisting of 4.8 grains of Hogdon Titegroup behind a 240 grain Berry plated HP bullets in new Remington cases with Federal LP primers. The gun is in superb condition and has a wonder lite single and double action. Included is a 2X Simmons LER scope model 7732 M1 with Weaver USA 1" rings that fit the gun perfectly. I am a senior, almost 71, and wanted to have a fine 44 magnum even just for a short time. My eye sight is failing me and that is the reason that I am selling the gun. The gun was the featured on the cover of the May 2009 edition of Guns Magazine. A very expansive article with close up pictures was included with the May 2009 issue.
