Up for your consideration is a BERETTA 98F in .30 Luger/7.65 Parabellum - a RARE variation of the venerable Beretta 92FS. LESS THAN 5,000 of these were produced from 1985 - 1987 exclusively for the ITALIAN CIVILIAN MARKET. This pistol is LIKE-NEW, APPEARS TO BE UNFIRED after leaving the factory, and features a 15-round magazine, an ambidextrous safety, iron sights, factory plastic checkered grips, a manual, and a somewhat HEAVY BARREL due to the smaller hole. This particular pistol is also PROOF-MARKED by the proofhouse of Gardone Val Trompia and the following are the proofs by year: AN=1985, AP=1986, and AS=1987. ATTENTION COLLECTORS: This weapon is noted on Page 245 of THE WORLD OF BERETTA by R. L. Wilson: "Model 98*: Model 92SB pistol chambered for 7.65mm Parabellum, for Italian citizens, to whom 9mm Parabellum (military calibers) were prohibited".
