This Pistol is Not C&R Eligible. So few of these fine pistols came into the United States, there’s just not much written about them. We’ll write what we know about this one, including its measurements, and maybe someone will cough us up a good Wiki or High Road article on them. Manufacturer, is Vincenzo Bernardelli, Gardone, VT, Italy; and that company folded its equipment and moved to Turkey beginning around 2002. This specimen of the P One has an Italian B F date code, manufactured 1995. The P One was briefly imported into the US in severely limited quantities from 1993 until 1997, all of them 10 shot. This specimen is a compact, but only slightly so alongside the slightly larger, standard size P-1. Type is mostly traditional double action automatic. Mostly traditional because the P One will fire double action safety off only from a resting hammer position. It will also engage on safe carry single action, cocked and locked. Every shot after the first shot is single action from a cocked hammer; the only truly safe way to decock is to remove the magazine, eject the chamber round, and let the hammer down with the trigger. The cocked-and-locked position is appealing to many of us, and that is the main reason, apart from Israeli familiarity with Bernardelli quality, that this pistol served and protected our Israeli friends from its issue date until fairly recently with the Mishteret Y’Israel, the Israeli Civilian Police in the Jerusalem District. Importation mark for PW Arms is neatly executed on the upper right side of the frame next to the serial number. Surface detractions are only moderate, edge whitening and a small amount of light freckling on the slide and rear sight. Otherwise, the matte blue and anodized finish is strong throughout with a few small scours on the grip frame. Anodized rear sight and safety lever edge displayfaint amounts of whitening. The never-blued barrel surface displays some dark toning as well. We rate this P One as Very Good, 85 percent vicinity by our estimate; photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is Excellent mechanically. Bore, chamber and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Magazine is, interestingly, CZ factory 15 round pre-ban, manufactured in 1992. Note that the CZ-75 Magazines work just fine; only, they protrude just a bit at the bottom. They lock into place correctly, free-fall eject, and lock the slide back on the last shot. An inventive soul could readily utilize a magazine bumper pad kit and improve the aesthetics of the CZ to Bernardelli fit. Construction is all steel including the grip frame that is serrated fore and aft. Note also that the slide is XSE style serrated fore and aft as well. Weight empty is 31.2 ounces with magazine in battery. Barrel length is 4 inches; overall length is 7 9/16 inches from muzzle to rear frame strut; height measures 5 inches from the butt of the grip frame to the top of the rear sight; slide thickness is .957 at its widest; and frame thickness measures .721 at the wide flats above the trigger guard next to the slide. We’re offering the P One in the photo for only $ 339.00. Not transferable to civilians in California, District of Colombia, or Massachusetts. For civilian buyers in jurisdictions where 15 round magazines are restricted to law enforcement, $10 off and freight paid; affected jurisdictions include Chicago, New York, and Puerto Rico. Ten round CZ Magazines are readily available from CZ USA com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $10 lower 48; $30 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, USPS Priority Mail, insured with Delivery Confirmation. Offers to buy must be for the registered user with his/her own money. Don’t let your buddies use your account, that smells like felony straw purchase.
