Battle of Little Big Horn "Trade Knife" from Sitting Bull's camp, ca. 1870 - dug up from in the ground, a steel trade knife, wood handle long ago gone, from Sitting Bull's camp where the Battle of Little Big Horn began. A historical trade knife by Atlas Iron Works (Mfg name still visible on knife)that shows extensive use before it was left behind by the Sioux tribe as they quickly broke camp after the Battle of Little Big Horn and crossed the border into Canada. (Provenance: Reno Battlefield Museum - Inventory - Pitch Collection, accompanied with a Letter of Authenticity from the Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management signed by Special Agent Lee B. Lingard. The back with glass covered map of the battlefield marking the location of artifact recovery. Size: 19.5" X 18" Framed and matted under glass. Visit us at: Email:
