This percussion revolver was made in 1854 with a serial number of 4969. This pistol is in fair to good condition with significant damage to the cylinder. 4” octagon is in good condition with some light pitting and a beautiful brown patina. Top edge marked “Address Col. Colt –London”. Bore is good with some surface wear; light pitting near muzzle. Rifling is still very good inside. Receiver showing same condition as the barrel. Hammer does not stay cocked but does rotate the cylinder. Cylinder shows significant damage: someone fired the wrong ammunition and blew on of the chambers out (please see photographs). Steel backstrap and trigger guard. Wood grips are good with some wear; light damage to butt end. ALL SERIAL NUMBERS MATCH.
