There are nickel plated lugers. They are known as Imperial and Presentation. Some were given to high ranking party, police officals and U Boat commanders. Those who frequently engaged there foes and distroyed many tons of cargo in the atlantic where given Lugers like this one. All four digits 1942 are inscribed. The presents of the Mauser Banner with a 4 digit serial, makes this 9mm Luger 1 in 500! All matching except aluminum clip, and it boasts four digits as well, with a plus sign. The plus sign, I was informed, indicates, this was the extra clip of two packaged with the pistol. There are no war time codes but Nazi eagles are present.
