Here is a veteran of the early days of wide-open, or wider open, deer hunting here in West Tennessee. From its 34-31000 range serial number, this Ruger New Model Blackhawk Stainless, catalog number KBN36, was manufactured in 1978. We think it is one of the very early stainless Blackhawks, by our poor memory, production did not begin on the Stainless until the mid 1970s, so this is an early Stainless. It comes to us from its original owner in nearby NorthWest Tennessee. Sile 411 Walnut Grips are period correct, early 1980s and mint. Surface detractions on this Blackhawk are only moderate, principally holster buffing and cylinder rotation marking. We classify it as Very Good, 80 percent vicinity, but photos ought to suffice for our shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically. Blast effect to the under side of the frame top strap is negligible, only a faint etchy line with no visible cutting. Bore and cylinder chambers are bright, clean, and excellent. Cylinder times before the hammer sets in all six positions, even on a very slow cocking motion. We’ve seen new Blackhawks that didn’t time as well as this one does. There is negligible lateral movement to the cylinder. Trigger pull is a crisp original 4 3/8 pounds, with negligible felt creep. This Blackhawk's superb mechanical condition, and its unretouched streaked stainless main surfaces attest to this fine revolver's longevity, not only in the field, but in a complex firearms market that has always been eaten up with novelty. Here is the tried and true Classic Ruger KBN-36 Blackhawk .357 Magnum. We're offering it for only $ 489.00. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $12 lower 48; $40 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, USPS Priority Mail, insured with Delivery Confirmation.
