Shipping: $40.00 (or Arrange local transfer) Accepted Payment Methods: Returns: 5 Days This Seller Accepts Instant Online Payments Description: This is a used police trade-in "Remington 870 POLICE MAGNUM" 12-gauge pump shotgun with an 18" blue steel barrel, bead front sight, extended magazine tube and new side saddle. It will chamber both 2.75" or 3" magnum 12-gauge ammo, holds up to 7 in the tube and 1 in the chamber. It has black composite stocks with some scratches & wear from normal use. The gun is parkerized, the barrel bore is bright with no pits and the action is in excellent shape. Also, there are some police markings (numbers and letters) carved in the stock (see photos). I'm a factory trained Remington 870 armorer and I went through this gun completely so I know it is mechanically sound with plenty of life left. Also, I installed a new TacStar side saddle so it will hold plenty of ammo. What's nice about police trade-in's is that the department armorers conduct regular maintenance and take good care of the guns. This one is in good shape with plenty of life left. In researching the serial number, this gun was manufactured in the mid-1990's. It's a POLICE MAGNUM meaning it is the TOP OF THE LINE in the Remington lineup. There are no plastic or MIM parts used in this gun (unlike the Express model). Read below to see what makes a POLICE MAGNUM so special. The 870 POLICE MAGNUM has these improved characteristics: An aluminum trigger group as opposed to the plastic one used in the Express models. An old style magazine retention system. A much smoother finish inside and out with minimal machine marks or burrs. The Police gun receives a higher level of inspection and finishing and is built in a special area of the plant from 100% inspected parts. It has a one piece barrel and the bore was polished. Heavy-duty trigger / sear spring. Heavy-duty shell lifter spring. The barrel is locked down with a "ball detent" system (as opposed to the lesser grade "synthetic magazine spring retainer" lock down used in the Express models). A milled extractor (as opposed to the MIM extractor used in the Express models). Remington builds these guns specifically for law enforcement and military use. They have to be 100% reliable and able to withstand the toughest of field conditions. For these reasons, the 870 MAGNUM is built to the highest standard for endurance and reliability.
