NIB pair of identical Stingray .22LR custom target/hunting pistols w/ NIB Aimpoint scopes. The Stingrays were built by the world renown Ruger experts - Volquartsen Custom - on brand new stainless steel Ruger Mark II frames - serial #22224485 & serial #22396725. The Stingrays are both from my personal collection and have not been displayed, handled or fired since I purchased them directly from Volquartsen. Both Stingrays are cosmetically and mechanically in 100% perfect condition.
The Stingray has a matte stainless steel frame with a matte stainless steel 7.5" digitally gauged match barrel. The barrel has precision radial flutes deeply cut along most of its length in order to quickly dissipate heat during rapid-fire. More importantly, the Stingray's unique radial flutes imbue it with an irresistible retro-tech look -- everyone wants to hold and shoot the Stingray because the Stingray brings out the "Flash Gordon" in all of us ! The Stingray barrel also features the very effective Volquartsen proprietary "V-Comp" integral muzzle compensator. The V-Comp's large single chamber expansion, combined with six precision lateral exhaust ports, facilitate a carefully controlled release of muzzle gases providing the shooter virtually recoil-free follow-on shots.
Other features of the Stingray include; custom Volthane one-piece black synthetic RH grips w/ thumb-rest, heel-rest and finger grooves ( these grips are by far the most comfortable and ergonomically correct target grips I've ever held ), Picatinny rail scope mount base which Volquartsen custom designed to perfectly fit the contours of the Ruger receiver, Volquartsen silver finished extended bolt release w/ .375" serrated face ( which greatly facilitates a much easier release of the bolt ), Voquartsen proprietary Exact Edge extractor which provides the most positive extraction available, Volquartsen accurizing kit w/ target hammer, target sear and target trigger w/ over-travel screw and crisp 2.25lb trigger pull, brand new silver Aimpoint 1.0" Ultra-Dot scope w/ silver rings, rubber sun-shade eye-cup, lens filter for bright light and Lifetime Warranty. Both the Stingray and Aimpoint original factory boxes and Ruger owners manual are also included.
The weight of the Stingray w/ the Aimpoint attached is 3lbs 8oz. The Stingray's mass, coupled with the precision air-gauged match barrel, V-Comp muzzle compensator, Volquartsen accurizing package and Volthane grips combine to make the Stingray one of the most accurate rapid-fire semi-auto .22 pistols in existence. Target/Hunting follow-on shots are consistently delivered with laser-like accuracy.
