Remington Mark III Signal Pistol, Caliber 10 Gauge flare. Made from 1915 to 1918 and chambered for a special 10 gauge flare cartridge. Not intended for 10 gauge shotgun shells. Only 24,500 were made. Mechanically excellent, but missing the barrel catch (won't lock shut). Condition is otherwise vg - exc with nearly all blue on barrel - which has extensive ding marks overall. Dark bore. Brass frame has nice patina from age. Factory walnut grips. With holster. An interesting and little-known Remington product.
