Used, in very nice condition; Make - Smith & Wesson; Model - 10 'Victory Government'; Operation - Double-Action Revolver; Caliber - .38 S&W (not .38 Special); Barrel - 5"; Finish - Parkerized, with case-hardened hammer, trigger, and lanyard loop; Grips - Smooth walnut. - Recognized as one of the "Top Ten Most Influential Handguns Of All Time" by 'American Rifleman' magazine. Marked with the Flaming Bomb proof mark, and then "U.S. PROPERTY G.H.D." at the left top-strap. Lanyard loop mounted on the bottom of the grip is case-hardened. Serial Number is V636xxx. Manufactured during World War II, at some time between 1942 and 1944. Condition is very nice for a handgun 70+ years old. Shows normal handling marks and wear to the finish and wood. These are very collectible, and there is a very active thread on Smith & Wesson's forum page as well as a lot more information available on-line regarding the 'Victory Government' model.
