MAG-NO-PORTING features unique trapezoidal cuts near the muzzle that help reduce felt recoil and muzzle jump. This gives the shooter better control for the 35 Whelen and other large calibers. The cost of MAG-NO-PORTING was around $150.00. I purchased the barrel new and had it MAG-NO-PORTED right away. I took it to the range one time and shot 5 rounds through it. I have the orginal box with it. I am not sure who made the scope rings but they do a great job of holding the scope with the 35 Whelen recoil. If you are interested I also have a set of almost new 35 Whelen RCBS FL Dies in the Green Case for $30 more and I have Brass both military and commerical made from 30/06 cases I can give you a price on.
