This listing is for One Ticket, but buyers may take any number at $2.00 apiece. State Trooper David Brasfield has served all of us Tennesseans, and countless guests, for over 30 years. He has been a diligent, professional, impartial and compassionate public servant all his life. Trooper Brasfield is presently battling Cancer; and as anyone knows who has experienced that, medical insurance won't pay travel expenses for treatments and many, many special needs that cancer victims have. First and foremost, we ask for your prayers. Second, we are donating the revolver as part of a comprehensive fundraising effort undertaking by a group of best workers in our little rural area to help Trooper Brasfield. Tickets are $2.00 each, for a chance on the revolver; and the more a person buys, the better his or her chance of winning. Revolver in the photo is identical to the one that the winner of the drawing Its name, of course, comes from its ancestor, the .38 Centennial Airweight introduced in the Company's Centennial Year of 1952, a popular product descended from the experimental Air Crewman all-aluminum revolvers issued to pilots during World War II. Barrel, cylinder and parts are all stainless steel, integrated into a lightweight aluminum alloy frame, hence the 15 ounce light weight empty, down from 20-21 ounces for the steel J frame Smith & Wessons. The Centennial was introduced as a pocket revolver. Since its hammer is completely encased in the frame, there is no possibility of clothing snagging from the hammer spur. Action, then, is double action only; there is no way for the hammer to stand in single action. A distinct advantage to the Centennial is that an alarmed, armed homeowner will not be able to cock the revolver into single action when he or she hears a noise; but a steady deliberate pull of the trigger will fire the revolver with more certainty than any automatic ever produced. Smith & Wesson revolvers all have an internal transfer bar safety to guard against accidental discharge, and this 642-2 variant has the internal hammer lock, supplied with two keys, that puts it in compliance with all state laws. Note the new-design Smith & Wesson factory boot grips that allow a firm hold without increasing the height or size of the small J frame. Replacement price on these revolvers is now upwards of $500.00 in our area, if a person can even find one. We're offering the 642-2 Centennial, however, S&W Product Code 163810, to the winner of the drawing held on Saturday, February 25th, 2012, at the Finger Tennessee Community Center on State Route 199 in McNairy County. Winner is not required to be present to win. If the winner is from West Tennessee, he or she may pick up the Revolver in our store free of any charges. For any out of state winners, we will ship at no charge to the FFL Transfer Dealer of your choice. Winner must be able to pass a NICS or TICS firearm background check, and will be responsible for his or her own transfer fee. This revolver is transferable to civilians in all jurisdictions of the United States of America. For tickets, give any of us a call, 7 3 1 area code: Mrs. Pat Jones 989 3402; Mrs. Regina Cupples 608 8594; Mrs. Phyllis Brown 608 1440; or our own Mary Jones 731 989 7641. We will accept Discover, Mastercard, Visa, or even Pay Pal on this benefit. Orders may be faxed to us at 731 989 4723 or emailed to mjonesrtp at gmail com.
