Up beside the rather pricey SR-22R Sibling to this 10/22 Ruger Variant, it looks very attractive. This is, like the SR-22R, a standard basic 10/22, the most durable .22 Autoloader ever built. Barrel is 18 1/2 inch blue steel with folding adjustable rear sight and bead-tipped blade front sight; action is blowback semi-auto; receiver is high impact polymer with steel bolt and springs; weight empty in this configuration is only 5 pounds empty. Stock is Tapco 3 position M-4 type high impact polymer with two differently pitched main stock tubes, one for optics readiness with no drop at the heel and the other for use with open sights with a 2 1/2 inch drop. Forend guard is a very stable 16-slot Picatinny Accessory rail, and of course this rifle comes with its TO-1 Weaver type receiver scope rail mount as well, that easily attaches to the four screw holes on top of the receiver, right where they’ve always been. This rifle comes furnished with an indestructible metal-sleeved 10/22 BX-1 ten round magazine, and we are also including an Eagle Arms 30 round magazine for civilian buyers in jurisdictions where 30 round mags are permitted. The Eagle Arms magazines are not reliable at all, and not returnable to us; but they look good and it's a freebie. Photos show a stock specimen, buyer will receive it or one of its identical mates. These are special edition factory Rugers custom made for our good friends in the Louisiana Canebrakes. Further good news is that they are $200 apiece cheaper than the SR-22R.
