Sharps Borchardt Model 1878 Rifle, 45-70 cal Bore Exc, Mech Exc, Wood VG plus has an old coat of varnish. Has an original 32 ½” Rd barrel with original sights and marked Old Reliable and Sharps Rifle Co Bridgeport Conn. The receiver is marked Sharps Rifle Co Bridgeport conn serial#19564 . Has an original buttplate, ramrod and sling swivels. Metal overall has an aged blue brown patina finish with traces of very fine pitting. Has the sliding trigger safety
