Rare Framed .44 Rimfire Live Misfire Cartridge found General George Armstrong Custer 1876 Battle of the Little Big Horn. This intact .44 Henry Cartridge was fired unsuccessfully (misfire) several times before thrown on the ground. Found at Gall's 1st position on the Reno Battlefield at the Little Big Horn. This area south of the huge Sioux and Cheyenne encampment was first fought known as the Scout fight. Reno.s scouts first encountered warriors charging to defend against Reno's advance into their camp. Professionally framed together with Certificate of Authenticity stating that this cartridge was found on Reno Battlefield in 1993 and to have been legally collected. The back glassed covered map of battlefield and artifact point of discovery. Sold with copy of letter from U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management stating Artifact is Legal.
