1862 Tower Civil War Enfield Rifle. .577 caliber 3 band rifle. There is no rear sight. The butt plate, trigger guard, forend cap are brass and the barrel has a silvery patina as does the included bayonet. There is 1862 Tower on the lock and the Crown as well. The overall condition of the gun, bayonett, and ramrod are quite good. The 25 markings and proff marks are on the side of the barrel. The gun is 55 inches overall and the bayonet is 16 inches. The stock is stamped CHAS REEVES TOLEDO WORKS BIRMINGHAM. The bayonet which fits snugly has US with W1 underneath it.
