There is a fox flushing a cock pheasant on the left, hunters in a field waiting on pheasants on the right and a striking portrait of a fox head on the bottom. The wood is a spectacular, honey colored European walnut with eye catching dark streaks along the whole lenght. There is an ebony capped, flared pistol grip with a right hand palm swell and the un-checkered forearm has a full length finger groove with two coin finished inset tear drops. The top of the barrels is engraved "Maestro Reale Piccione" in gold. The barrels retain all of their blue and are turning a uniform shade of plum.
