Winchester model 1866 44 RIFLE! If you've researched Yellowboys at all, you know the RIFLE is the most desirable and hardest to find of the muskets, rifles, and carbines. This has a 24 inch long OCTAGON barrel, with barrel address still visible. Manufactured in 1881, it's one of the last ones manufactured! Sometimes referred to as a 'transitional' rifle. This means it was produced AFTER they were making the model 1873's. Buttplate and forearm endcap are iron--from the factory. This is in great condition from one end to the other. Certainly Collector Quality. Comparable rifles in this condition are priced 2-3 times the price of ours! This Very Nice Rifle is a Keeper! Just e-mail for more info and photos.
