A very rare and collectable Arnold Arms Company Apollo Series in .300 Weatherby Magnum. Arnold Arms Company built quality big bore rifles in Arlington, Washington from 1994 through 2001. Arnold Arms offered a customer specified series of accurate rifles built on their own action, called the Apollo. These rifles are rarely encountered in today’s firearms market. (Arnold Arms built rifles on Remington, Ruger, Sako, and Winchester actions as well the Apollo). All Arnold Arms rifles had a written guarantee on accuracy (1/2 in. group or less at 100 yards with hand loads), and a 5-year limited warranty. This example of the Arnold Arms product line is a rare Arnold Apollo Series, built on their “top-of-the-line” Arnold Arms Apollo action, advertised as having a 20,000 PSI strength. This specific rifle offers the following features and accessories: OAL = 44 5/8 inches. LOP = 13 5/8 inches. Barrel = 24 inches. Weight = 8 pounds 13 ounces. Stock is a McMillan black synthetic with textured finish and incorporates two post sling studs. Butt pad is a ¾ inch Arnold signature black pad. The Jewell trigger is fully adjustable and stainless steel. The bolt uses a double locking lug at the face of the bolt. The safety is a Winchester M70 style. A Leupold Vari-X III 2.5 X 8 X 36MM scope is included. Scope bases and rings are SK brand. The stainless steel metal is finished in black matte Teflon on the receiver and on the barrel. A fitted bore guide is included. Black plastic hard case is included. Serial Number is A000122. This rifle is used at ~97% with rifle rack rub marks on the stock’s forearm and butt, and a few minor surface scratches on the barrel. The Leupold scope is as new. The Apollo Series was Arnold Arms’ premier model and is strongly sought after today. This is the ONLY Arnold Arms Apollo action we have ever had or seen offered anywhere. This rifle shoots 0.5 inch groups at 100 yards with hand loads using the Swift Scirocco 180 grain bullet and 1.0 inch groups at 100 yards using the Swift A-Frame 180 grain bullet. Here is a chance to own an Arnold Arms Apollo ready to hunt North America or travel on safari. Save $500 over the original retail price of $4000.00 in 1995 dollars. WE INVITE YOU TO VISIT OUR WEBSITE TO REVIEW OUR OTHER FINE FIREARMS LISTINGS, INCLUDING VINTAGE EXAMPLES OF COLTS, BROWNINGS, KIMBER OF OREGON, S&W, WINCHESTER, AND THE FULL LINE OF COOPER FIREARMS OF MONTANA. ADDITIONALLY, WE OFFER CUSTOM DAMASCUS BLADED KNIVES, WONDERFUL EXAMPLES OF CLAES AND TOM LOFGREN’S DAMASCUS KNIVES, AND OF PAUL PANAK’S DAMASCUS AUTOMATIC KNIVES.
