Serial number 1. That's correct on this rifle. Very Rare bull barrel. 24 inch. Most barrels were octagon in shape. Very fine stock with engraved pistol grip cap. This gun was a three barrel set. Maybe had 40 cal and a shot gun barrel included. This very nice rifle comes with an F. W. Fecker scope that matches the gun nicely. Nickle finish on receiver is 80% or better. Barrel is blued turning brown. Action works like new. Rifle shoots very accurate and has won several matches. Similar Frank Wesson rifles have been selling from $4000 to $22000. This rifle seems to be all original except for the upgraded shotgun but plate stock. You can own this very first gun made, serial number 1 in Frank Wesson's fourth series of guns. The rifle has a pat... trigger that allows you to switch between rim fire and center fire cartridges with the screw in the hammer. You can buy and older gun in 32, 40 or 38 caliber and add it to the receiver for a nice center fire single shot competition gun. The possibilities are not limited here. Have your barrel custom shop to the cartridge of your choice like 38-55, 45-70 or 50....

Take a look and see what you think.

This is a very nice gun for being over 130 years old. Bore is bright and shinny, action crisp, scope very clear with fine cross hairs. Wood in beautiful with hardly any handling marks. A local gun shop has giving me an estimate to sell for around $40K. You will not be disappointed. Barrel markings are true and dates correct for 1859 to 1870. Worcester Mass.
