Wonderful Custom built & engraved FN Commercial Mauser chambered in 7 X 57 Ackley Improved. Virgin Valley Custom Shop of Utah hand crafted and delivered this rifle in July 2004 (ordered May 2002) starting with a commercial Belgium Mauser action delivered in the white. Features are numerous and include the following: ·Extensively engraved by Lee Griffith: front sight, front barrel banded sling stud, bolt shroud, bolt knob, receiver, barrel root, trigger guard, floor plate and Talley QD rings.·High gloss deep blued metal except bolt handle/knob and bolt body which are chromed.·Lilja 24 inch Chrome Moly barrel with 1 in 9 twist and Sporter contour and Crowned Muzzle·Blueprinted action·Winchester style bolt shroud with 3 position safety· Blackburn trigger set at 2 pounds ·NECG Express Sights with one standing and two folding leafs at rear pedestal and ramped, barrel banded front sight· Fixed sight zeroed at 50 yards, first leaf at 150 yards, and second leaf at 300 yards·Inletted Sling Stud at rear and Talley Barrel Banded Sling Stud in front·Warne bases with recoil slots and one inch Quick Disconnect Rings with recoil lugs· Talley Quick Disconnect Rings, Engraved, One Inch·AAA+, Fiddleback, Black Walnut Stock with Cheekpiece and 22 LPI Diamond Pattern checkering on forearm and pistol grip·Rosewood Foreend Tip·Satin Stock Finish·13.5 inch LOP with 13.75 inch at toe and heel.·2 screw grip cap·Black Decelerator Butt Pad·Fired 8 rounds to regulate Express Sights with 175 Grain Nosler Partition BulletsCondition is new with 3 very small handling dings in the stock at different locations. Original build cost was $2493 for Virgin Valley, $2500 for the engraving, and approximately $550 for the commercial action, rings, bases, grip cap and miscellaneous parts and shop work.
