The original American Walnut plain stock has cartouche marks and exhibits only slight dings and scratches- it is excellent condition, especially for the age of this firearm. All of the metal has a green patina, probably attributed to packing grease and careful storeage, bereft of moisture. The man that I purchased this fine firearm from in 1994, told me that he had purchased this firearm from the Department of Civilian Marksmanship years before our meeting.
